Tutoring Children

I have been excited to participate at a local library homework program that provides valuable tutoring for underprivileged children.  I tutor both English and Spanish-speaking students in a variety of subjects including math and physics. Last summer, I worked as a math counselor at the program’s “Math Camp” where we spent each morning reviewing and teaching math concepts through fun activities.  Whether it is mastering a school concept, gaining confidence in their skills or developing a love of learning, I enjoy all the different ways tutoring impacts the students. I have also benefited from tutoring students in that the experience has taught me compassion, patience and the ability to see things from a different perspective.
